Below is a short update on who we are, what we do, and what we’ve been up to recently.
Who we are:
All Wheel Drive Response North East (AWDRNE) is a community-led charity working across the North East.
We support people and local organisations by:
- Sharing first aid knowledge
- Supporting community events
- Helping when short-notice support is needed
What we do:
Our work includes:
- Delivering First Aid Awareness courses, including Baby & Young Children First Aid
- Providing First Aid cover at local events
- Supporting community organisations and local partners
- Working with volunteers, trustees, and committee members to grow our charity
- Raising awareness of safety, wellbeing, and emergency readiness
What we’ve been doing – December 2025:
In December, we supported our community in the following ways:
- Friday 13 December
We had a stall at the Cedarwood Christmas Market.
We raised £55, which will help support our ongoing work. - Thursday 12 December
We were asked at short notice to help provide First Aid cover for an organisation in North Shields.
We were very happy to step in and help when needed.
What’s coming up – January 2026:
We currently have the following planned:
- Saturday 10 January 2026, 10:00–12:00
Baby & Young Children First Aid Awareness Course
📍 North Shields Library
👉 Spaces are still available
We are hoping to get out into the community more over the coming months to raise awareness and get our name out there.

We are still looking for people to join AWDRNE and help us grow.
We are currently looking for:
- Volunteers
- Trustees
- Committee Team members

Monthly MeetingsWe are currently trying to find a suitable venue where we can hold our monthly meetings.
- Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month
- Time: 19:30 – 21:00
